Tara Leigh Surface of Oxford, Ala., was born on July 9, 1972 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2017.

She is survived by her parents, Rev. Jim and Dianne Burke; husband, Henry Earl Surface III; children, Caleb Nathaniel Surface and Matthew Brady Surface; niece, Ree Burke; granddaughter, Paizleigh Freeman; grandmother, Martha Staub and special friends, Jean and Lee Hulsey.

Mrs. Surface was preceded in death by her sister, Amy Lawana Burke; and her brother, Shawn Patrick Burke.

Mrs. Surface will be buried in Bogalusa, next to her siblings.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, July 1, at 2 p.m. at Pettic Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eric Catha officiating.
