Barbara Sheridan Stogner, 87, returned to her Heavenly Home on June 23, 2017. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggles and ultimately gave her peace.

Barbara was blessed with a large and loving family. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Sheridan Cockrell and her husband Jackie Ray Cockrell; a son, Shelly Ottis Sheridan and his wife Robyn Sheridan; and her sister, Marie Lively. Her memories will live on through her grandchildren, Sophia Lee Collins, Tanya Cockrell Songy, Brandon Cockrell, Donnie Smith and Cassie Smith Cole, Joshua Lane, Ashley Lane and multiple great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Sheridan; her parents, Jason and Ruby Daily Seals; a brother, Kenneth Seals; her sister, Betty Hawkins; three daughters, Paula Sheridan Lee, Betty Jean Lane and Patricia Smith; and one grandson, Cody Sheridan.

She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator.

Visitation began Monday, June 26, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Doyle Ball officiated the services and the interment followed in the Whittington Cemetery in Sheridan.
