Elton Miley, born May 5, 1956, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 13, 2017, at the age of 61. He was a carpenter in the community and was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves behind his step-father, Harry Keaton of Bogalusa, Chernie Miley of Bogalusa; two brothers, Alan Miley of Bogalusa, and Anthony Keaton of Bogalusa; two sisters, Wendy Miley Carmona of Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., and Annie Miley of Nampa, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Miley Keaton; and a brother, Arlon Miley.

Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, June 17, beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will resume Sunday morning after 8 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Fred Brumfield will officiate the services, with the interment to follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
