Booker T. Craft

Mr. Booker T. Craft was born on July 8, 1939, to the late Sylvester Craft and Bertha Russell Craft in Columbia, Miss. During the morning of June 13, 2017, at home with his daughter and son-in-law, he quietly went to be with the Lord.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Terneta (Johnny) Thompson of Columbia; one special son that he raised as his own, Curtis W. (Nicole) Abram Jr. of Texas; three step-sons, Larry (Carla) Smith, Reginald (Elaine) Smith of New Orleans, and Darrell Smith of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Booker T. was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Craft and Bertha Russell Craft; his wife, Martha Craft; Marcell Smith; and his sister, L. Griffin.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, from 9 a.m. until noon, followed by the funeral service at noon at Harry’s Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 59405 Mitchell City Road in Bogalusa, with the Rev. Nolan Robinson, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Duffy Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa.
