Valerie Graves

On Saturday, June 10, 2017, Valerie Ann Graves was called home to be with the Lord at the young age of 47.
Valerie was born in Bogalusa on Nov. 21, 1969, to the late Mrs. Bobbie Jean Johnson Graves and the late Mr. Quinton Muse.
Valerie leaves to cherish her loving memories her lovely and devoted children; two sons, Calvin Lionell Graves and Marcus Wendell Graves, both of Bogalusa; five daughters, Treasure Adore Short and Casey La’Tiffany Graves of Baton Rouge, Tracey Denise Graves, London Sierra Watts and Stacy Nicole Graves, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Felicia Rene Graves of Bogalusa, and Vickie Lynn Johnson of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Ralph (Tanya) Graves of New Brunswick, N.J., Paul Eugene Johnson of Bogalusa, and Perry Lyndell Johnson of Baton Rouge; one step-sister, Denise James of Angie; and one step-brother, Quinton James of Angie; three aunts, Mrs. Mary Louise Harvey of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Jessie Ruth Brown of Bogalusa, and Mrs. Pearl Johnson of Bogalusa; one uncle, Mr. Larry (Linda) Johnson of Bogalusa; and four special cousins, Kim Brown, Sheritha Johnson, Erica Johnson-Williams and Eric Johnson.
Valerie was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Jean Johnson Graves; father, Quinton Muse; and a stepsister, Theresa Muse Waxter.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 16, at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 17, in the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mary Lucas officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
