Bufford Crain was born in Pine on March 6, 1928. He passed away on June 12, 2017, in McComb, Miss.

He was raised in Bogalusa and graduated in 1946 and attended LSU and Louisiana College where he graduated. He also taught school in the Bogalusa School System. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his brothers, H.L. Crain (Charlene) of Bogalusa, Lavell Crain of Bogalusa, Luke (Lisa) Crain of Bogalusa, and Arnold “Pete” Crain (Brenda) of Gulfport, Miss.

He is preceded in death by parents, Nick and Isabel Ingram Crain; brothers, Hubert Crain, Eufford Crain and Houston Crain; and sisters, Eurena Stogner, Eva Miley and Athalee Williams.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, June 16, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will continue on Saturday, June 17, from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery.
