Roberta Ann Carrier Kenny, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

She was born on June 2, 1948, a resident of Bogalusa, a member of Main Street Baptist Church, a friend to many and known affectionately as “MiMi” to all of the children in her family.

She is survived by her husband, David Kenny of Bogalusa; a son, Robert Kenny of Bogalusa; three granddaughters, her “Nat” Natalee Kenny, Kayla Schilling, and Emily Carpenter of Pine; a great- grandson, Ryan Thomas of Pine; a brother, Lavon (Carol) Carrier of Angie; two sisters, Ouida Harris of Lucedale, Miss., and Beverly (Allen) Little of Bogalusa; two brothers-in-law, Greg (Denise) Mitchell of Mandeville and Billy (Shirley) Kenny of Atlanta, Ga.; 11 nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and great-nephews; an aunt, Jenny Lee Franks of Bogalusa; and numerous cousins.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Myrle and Beatrice Carrier; two brothers, Larry Elton and Milton Earl Carrier; a sister, Paula Carrier Mitchell; her mother-in-law, Marie Badinger; brothers-in-law, Roy Morris and Samuel “Butch” Harris; a niece, Crystal Carrier; and a nephew, Chad Sullivan.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Main Street Baptist Church on Saturday, June 17, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and the service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Patrick Magee officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Main Street Baptist Church.
