Organizer Dracus “Dstar” Sartin, who partnered with the Red Zone Sports Bar and Grill to bring a new music festival to Bogalusa, said the show would go on Saturday, even if it rains.
“Rain or shine, we are going live,” he said. “We are set and everything is ready to go for the first annual 985Golive Bogalusa Parkday Festival at Cassidy Park this Saturday, June 3, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.”
Sartin advises anyone who plans to bring a grill to the park, because they will begin setting up at noon. Performances will start at 5:30 p.m.
The show will be hosted by Young Carter, with special guest artists Jump Off Committee, Crayola Ent, Street Commission, J Bridges, No Limit Boobie and Huggie, B OCHOA, 250 Finesse and more.
Sartin said he created the event “as a way to give back to the community with a family fun-filled day, and as a way to shine a light on our local up-and-coming artists.”
Admission is free of charge.
“If anyone wants to volunteer or be a vendor, it’s not too late to call me at 985-294-1858,” Sartin said.
