Shirley Strahan Thomas, 69, passed away on May 16, 2017, at AMG Rehabilitation Hospital in Covington. She was a resident of Bogalusa.

She is survived by her son, James R. Thomas III of Bogalusa; one daughter, Cecilia Martin of Madisonville; brother, Edward Strahan of Franklinton; sisters, Ella Mae Williamson of Belle Chase, Loretha Freeman of Baton Rouge and Emogene Burch of Franklinton; and three grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ada Strahan; and brothers, Lee Strahan and Ralph Strahan.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home of Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. until the time for services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Strahan Cemetery.
