Dorothy Alice Barnes, born Oct. 2, 1927, went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2017, at the age 89. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She leaves behind two sons, John C. Barnes of Bogalusa and Thomas E. Barnes and his wife Linda Gayle Martin Barnes; a daughter, Linda S. Barnes Baer of DeSoto, Mo.; a sister, Arlene Sohm and her husband Gus of St. Louis, Mo.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin S. and Erna Gertrude Marieneau Feutz; her husband, Paul J. Barnes; and a daughter, Paula J. Barnes Campbell.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 16, at Bucholz Funeral Home in St. Louis, beginning at 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. with the burial in the Friden Cemetery in St. Louis County.
