The Bogalusa water bills used to go out to two different groups at two different times of the month, but that’s about to change.

Public Works Director James Hall said he needed to get the word out, especially to one group, that everybody is about to get on the same schedule.

“It confused some people,” he said. “So now we’re going to read all meters on the 25th of the month. And the due date for everybody will be on the 10th of the following month.”

Citizens who have had their bills due on the 25th of the month will not get a bill this month, Hall said.

“But just this time they’ll have about two extra weeks on their bills when they do get them,” he said. “The people who normally have their bills due on the 10th will have no change.”
