James Edward Creel passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at the age of 59. He was born in Washington Parish, Louisiana, to the late Dorothy and Thomas Creel.

He resided in Bogalusa for most of his life. He was the loving husband of Linda Creel for 13 years. Father of Dorothy Creel, Alexia Williams, Aaliyah Williams, Dayshaun Williams and Christy Williams. Step-father of Tammy Garcia and William Jones Jr. (Terri). Grandfather of 18 and Great Grandfather of 2. Brother of Thomas Creel (Barbara) and the late Clarence Creel. Brother-in-law of Linda Creel, Pat Craft, Mary Young, Ann Coleman and Leslie Knight. Son-in-law of Delores Williams and Gerald Cameron. Predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Creel.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Fred Brumfield, at Palestine Baptist Church, 59345 Doffe Talley Road, Bogalusa, on Saturday, May13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m., with gathering afterwards at the church.
