Melissa Jenkins “Missy” Rodgers, 48, a resident of Angie, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the home of her mother in Angie.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Rodgers of Angie; her son, Allen Rodgers of Angie; her mother, Gladys Jenkins of Angie; her sister, Angela (Mark) Hillhouse of Angie; her brother, Rev. Chad (Amy) Jenkins of Bogalusa; her mother-in-law, Sherrial Rodgers of Tyler, Texas; her father-in-law, Jerry (Ginger) Rodgers of Bay Town, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hardy Jenkins; her paternal grandparents, Manson and Edith Jenkins; and her maternal grandparents, Barney and Ruth Kuhn.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 28, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Chad Jenkins, the Rev. Rusty Kuhn, and the Rev. Nathan Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Jenkins Family Cemetery, located at M. Jenkins Road, Highway 436, in Angie.
