Jerry Robert Gorum Sr., 69, passed away on April 26, 2017, at his residence in Bogalusa. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Burkett Gorum of Bogalusa; three sons, Kenny Douglas Gorum of Bogalusa, Keith Darryl Gorum of Bogalusa, and Jerry Scott Gorum of Loranger; two daughters, Melody Ann Gorum of Bogalusa and Cassie Marie Gorum of Bogalusa; two brothers, Lamar Gorum of Pickensville, Ala., and Lewis Gorum of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Linda Julian of Demopolis, Ala.; and nine grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Kate Mitchell Gorum.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #24.
