Quncie Adams, 80, resident of Angie, passed away on April 7, 2017, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was born in Washington Parish, on Sept. 7, 1936.

Quncie is survived by his wife, Charlene S. Adams; a son, Tommy (Kellie) Adams; a daughter, Tammy Boone (Greg Slade); grandchildren, Jeremy Boone, Quncie Durwood “Bucky” Adams (Megan Passaro), Chase Boone (Amanda Johnson), Andrew Adams (Hailie), Kayla Boone (Tyler Knight); and great-grandchildren Levy Boone, Addyson Adams, Avery Boone, Aiden Thomas.

He is preceded by his infant son, Quncie Durwood Adams; his parents, B. J. and Agnes Ard Adams; his brothers, Marvin Adams and John E. Adams; and a sister, Bonnie Mae Strahan.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, April 9, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation continued at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 10, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services began at 2 p.m., with Elder Glenn Erwin and Bro. Larry Mizell officiating. Interment followed at Reubin Adams Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Marty Adams, Greg Slade, John McCrary, Chris Vince, Ken Scott and Robert Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Edward Scott, Robert Penton, Ronald Penton, Quncie Durwood “Bucky” Adams, Andrew Adams, Jeremy Boone and Chase Boone.
