Joyce M. Taylor, 87, passed away on April 21, 2017, at her residence in Bogalusa.

She was a nurse for 22 years, working at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center. She was also a member of the Bogalusa Congregation Of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She is survived by two sons, David O. Taylor (Lisa) of Bogalusa, and Clifton Ray “Kip” Taylor (Minnie) of Bogalusa; one sister, Myrtis Penton of Varnado; three grandchildren, Kip Michael Taylor (Angela), Courtney Michelle Broome (Donny) and Jeremy Andrew Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Kenley Taylor, Jaiden Taylor, Olivia Broome and John Broome.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Taylor; parents, Charles and Bessie Rester McNeese; brothers, Gary and Clifton McNeese; and sisters, Shirley McClendon, Gladys Nastasi and Doris “Dot” Coleman.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Cremation will follow and a private graveside funeral will be held at a later date.
