Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Paulette Hughes Sorrell, 62, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 17, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Elder James Glen Erwin officiating. Burial was in the Crystal Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Sorrell passed away at Walthall General Hospital in Tylertown, Miss., on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She was born Aug. 20, 1954, in Bogalusa.

She was a homemaker who loved cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and playing games.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Joe L. Sorrell; daughter, Heather Vampran Phillips (Ivan); Derrik Sorrell (Jessica); mother, Vera Polk Hughes; father and step-mother, Billy and Bobbye Hughes; brothers, William Roger Hughes (Emily), Kendall Hughes (LeAnn); step-brothers, Ricky Holden and Greg Holden; sisters-in-law, Diann Seal (Mike) and Patsy Boyd (PJ); brother-in-law, Larry Sorrell (Kerry); grandchildren, Makinley, Jordyn, Dahlia, and Marcus; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation was at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Monday, April 17, from 10 a.m. until service time there at 2 p.m.
