Athelee Gerald Schilling, born Jan. 26, 1920, departed this world for heaven at her residence in Pine La, on April 5, 2017 she was affectionately known as “Grandma” by many, she enjoyed caring for her family, making the best homemade biscuits around, gardening and just being outdoors.
A beloved and devoted mother and grandmother, she leaves behind one son, Bennie Schilling (Debbie), three grandchildren, Teresa Schilling Rosenthal (David), Christy Schilling Galloway (Chris), Tammie Schilling Magee (Terry), eight great grandchildren, Sharah, McKenna, Dalton Rosenthal, Ben, Jake, Cade Galloway, Tyler Mattes, Dallen, Garrison Magee; and also several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Rhoda Gerald, three brothers, Henry, George and James (Jay) Gerald, five sisters, Alty Gerald, Alma Gerald Thomas, Velma Gerald Dykes, Letha Gerald Rogers, Penn Gerald Pace, grandson, B.J. Schilling, and husband Edwin M. Schilling.
Visitation will be held at Brown Mcgehee Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday April 9, 2017, 9 a.m. until time for the service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Schilling Cemetery at Pine La. Brother Acy Barber and Bro Harold Gaddy will officiate.
