Rebecca Ranee Athey Fontana passed away April 2, 2017, at her home in Franklinton.

She was born to the late Elbert Haley and Wilda Lee Stephens of Franklinton.

Mrs. Athey Fontana was a seamstress at Rutter Rex.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Stephen Lane Athey of Franklinton; three daughters, Tabitha Athey, Katera Goodner and Faith Fisher, all of Franklinton; one brother, Kenneth Haley of Franklinton; and three sisters, Carolyn Haley, Jean Graves and Linda Kay Smith, all of Franklinton.

She is preceded in death by her father, Elbert Haley; mother, Wilda Lee Stephens; husband, Bruce P. Fontana; and one grandson, Gary Trey Athey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, with Bro. Frederick Brumfield officiating.
