Katie Temples

Katie “Tenny” Beall Temples, 85, a resident of Pine, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Riverside Medical Center.

She was a member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church. Tenny was a cashier for many, many years at Pine Cash Grocery. She enjoyed cutting her grass, growing her vegetable garden and being in the outdoors. Tenny also enjoyed watching old Western TV shows with her family.

She is survived by: daughter-in-law, Wynetta Gerald Temples of Pine; grandchildren and spouses, Randall and Anna Temples, and Christie and John Bourgeois, all of Pine; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Temples, Logan Temples, Tristan Bourgeois and Grant Bourgeois; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Bell Sisterly of Pine; and also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everet Temples, exactly one year ago; by her son, Roy Temples; parents, Randolph Beall and Ruby Garner Beall; and a brother, Hershel Beall.

Visitation was at Pine Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, March 31, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, with Eld. Gerald King and Eld. Brent King officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Temples, Logan Temples, Tristan Bourgeois, Rory Beall, Derrick McKenzie and Elton Miley. Honorary pallbearers will be Grant Bourgeois, George Ladner and Woody Adcox.
