Daulton Kennedy

Daulton William Kennedy, 83, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa. He was born on July 30, 1933, in Stateline. He was a member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church and retired from Gaylord Paper Mill. He loved his gardening, camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Elcyle Stringer Kennedy of Bogalusa; two daughters, Jan Kennedy Harvey (Carl McWayne) of Bogalusa, and Nan Kennedy Romano (Joe Paul) of Franklinton; his son, William Dale Kennedy (Sarah Lynn) of Varnado; seven grandchildren, Amy Barnwell (Mark), Jason Page Kennedy, Amber Bell (Caleb), Scott Burt (Meagan), Raven Baughman (Brad), Michael Romano (Sunny), and Adam Romano; 17 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Drew, Zachary, Olivia, Mitchell, Lillian, Avery, Brylee, Elizabeth, Parker, Braxten, Conner, Presley, John Eric, Russell, Brody, and Anniston; and a great-great-grandchild, Calvin.

He is preceded in death by his son, David Allen Kennedy; his parents, Newton Dalco Kennedy and Sedgie Thomas Kennedy; his sister, Jerry Ann Fornea; and his brother, Nelson Kennedy.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 2, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with Bro. Lynn Martin, Bro. Jimmy Byrd, and Bro. Caleb Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Kennedy, Michael Romano, Adam Romano, Scott Burt, Mark Barnwell and Caleb Bell.
