Bro. Clinton Morris was born on Nov. 18, 1935 to the late Ernest Walter Morris and Margie Weary Morris. He was the seventh child of eight. He departed this life on March 11, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

Clinton united with Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Ivy Williams. When he came to church service, he would sit in the far back of the church; sometimes we didn’t even know that he was there until Rev. Williams would recognize him to let him know that he was glad to see him. His favorite book of the Bible was Psalm 23. He remained a member at Pilgrims Rest until his death.

He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Gertrude Morris Graves of Angie; his sister’s children who were special to him, Royan (Kollette) Morris of Bogalusa, Rosaland (Cornelius) Wilson of Angie, Margie M. Graves of Angie, Charlean Nichols of Houston, Texas, Sylvia (Donald) Gholar, of Angie, Hinetha Turner of Metairie, Michael (LaToya) Graves of Houston, Texas, Harvell Graves Jr. of Angie, Gregory (Rachel) Graves of Los Angeles, Calif., Deborah (Robert George) Garrett of Angie, Davon (Alice) Pigott of Houston, Rosa Lee Smith of Angie, and Walter Lee (Ossie Lee) Smith of Angie, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
