Margie Bailey Evans Cleaver, 79, of Bogalusa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bailey Jr., was born in Bogalusa on June 24, 1937 and peacefully passed away March 11, 2017 at Rest Haven Nursing Home.

Margie moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1954 and lived there for 15 years before she returned to her final resting place in Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. William Bailey Jr. and Mrs. Aretha Bolton Bailey; her brother, Ernest Bailey; and her nephew, Keith Crews.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanderlyn Evans Weary of Bogalusa; her brother, Joseph Bailey of Bogalusa; her sister, Minnie Marilyn Crews of Bogalusa; her grandchildren, Shannon Weary of Irving, Texas, Mrs. Yolanda Magee (Albert) of Arlington, Texas, and Terrie Weary of San Antonio, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Danel Owens, William Monk, Dejah Owens, Dimyrius Owens, Gregory Weary, Dimyrria Owens, Alisa Magee, and Jerry Robinson; and her great-great-grandchildren, Deshawn Owens and Lillian Owens.

Margie was known to bring excitement and joy to all that crossed her path. The family invites all to remember her joy at the Homegoing Services to celebrate the life of the loving mother, sister, grandparent and friend. The Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. (viewing and respects) and the Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 16, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Both services will be held at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa. The Rev. Larry Lucas Sr. will officiate.
