Janet Mingo Kelly was born on Oct. 1, 1941, to the late Leone Mingo and Mary Lee (Wilson) Mingo. Janet relocated to Oakland, Calif., in the late 1970s where she lived for nearly 30 years before she decided to move back home with her family in 2000. Janet loved her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Larry Mingo, Jimmy Ray Mingo and Terry Bickham.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her companion, Robert Causey; four sisters, Christine Vernon and Paulette Mingo of San Leandro, Calif., Ida Sibley and Johnnie Ruth Jenkins of Franklinton; three brothers, Charles Ray Mingo and James Mingo, both of Franklinton, and Samuel Mingo of Oakland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness with Elder Washington Drake, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Sweet Home Cemetery.
