Ewing Rihn

Ewing Allan Rihn, 92, born on Nov. 10, 1924, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at his home in Franklinton. He was a Merchant Marine and served in the U.S. Marines and he was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia K. Jones Rihn of Franklinton; two stepdaughters, Linda Sue Jones of Zona, and Annette Suzette Jones of Franklinton; two stepsons, John Paul Jones Sr. of Bogalusa, and George Allen Jones of Franklinton; his brother, James “Montee” Rihn (Billie) of Schertz, Texas; his best friend, Harold Nellie of Lacombe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John B. Rihn and Alice Biediger Rihn; and his brothers, Malcolm Rihn, and Nathaniel Rihn.

Private graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9. Entombment was held at Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum in Ponemah Cemetery.
