Charlotte Lang Leonard, 70, of Bush, passed away on March 8, 2017, after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 18, 1947, the daughter of Kenneth and Elverna “Pinkie” Lang of Sheridan. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bernard (Judith) Lang. She was formerly employed with Vital Health Services. She recently joyfully became a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ovide Leonard; and son, Tracey Crain; stepson, Ian Leonard; her grandchildren, Seth Crain, and Megan Hunt; her brother, Glenn (Carolyn) Lang of Harvey; her sister, Loretta Stewart of Bogalusa; nephews, Kenny (Cayla) Lang, Kyle (Christopher) Lang, Jeffrey (Vickie) Lang, and Blake (Suzanne) Lang; nieces, Tabetha (Patrick) Ezell, and Nikki (Damon) Duke; and great-nieces and nephews, Katie Lang, Joseph and Jack Ezell, Cameron Lang, Finn Duke, and Evelyn Lang.

A true Southern mama, Charlotte heartily embraced family, tradition, and life. She loved music, cooking, gardening, and reading. Her infectious laugh and outspokenness ensured that she was always the center of attention.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Blake, Kenny, and Kyle Lang, Patrick Ezell, and Damon Duke.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 1 p.m., with the funeral service officiated by Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette beginning at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Simmons-Lang Cemetery in Sheridan.
