Ethylene Hartzog

Ethylene Seals Hartzog, 97, of Angie, went to heaven Monday, Feb. 20, 2017.

Mrs. Hartzog was born Aug. 25, 1919, the daughter of William Eli Seals and Annie Mae Pace Seals. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Lucius Hartzog. She leaves behind children, Berferd (Deborah) Hartzog, Gilbert (Peggy) Hartzog, Sylvia (Bobby) Bell, Patricia (James) Maples, and Jerry Dean (Stacy) Hartzog; grandchildren, Donna Hartzog, John (Sharon) Hartzog, Gina (Richard) Sances, Sasha Hartzog Pike, Fields (April) Hartzog, Missy (Danny) Jones, Michael Garic, Amy (Jason) Hill, Gilbert (Charlyn) Hartzog Jr., Gabe (Jammie) Hartzog, Randy (Heidi) Hartzog, Annie Hartzog, Chad Hartzog, Bobby (Tiffany) Bell, Jeffrey (Sarah) Bell, Heather (Michael) Melancon, Sarah (Brenton) Hughes, Aaron Maples, Olivia Hartzog, and Jacob Hartzog; sister-in-law, Bernice Seals; 37 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, John “Johnny” Hartzog, Elvis Hartzog, and Roy Gene Hartzog; grandchildren, Melissa Darlene Hartzog, and Eva Lynn Hartzog Passmore; great-grandchild, Ashton Garic; and all her siblings.

Pallbearers were John Hartzog, II, Gilbert Hartzog, Jr., Chad Hartzog, Jeffrey Bell, Aaron Maples and Jacob Hartzog.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will continue at Angie Baptist Church on Friday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Larry Mizell officiating. Interment will follow at Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Miss.
