Mr. Leon Smith Jr. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

Brother Leon was preceded in death by his father, Leon Smith Sr.; mother, Iristean Smith; and grandmother, Gradulee Smith.

The legacy of Brother Leon Smith Jr.’s life will be cherished by his daughter and loving wife, Antwinette Smith; sons, Solento Rodriquez Leon (Demetrice) Smith III, Daniel Cornellus (Shanna) Smith, Carlton Ray (Jeness) Clarks, and Darius (Kayla) Smith; daughters, Ireon (Alijah) Smith, Kadesha Smith (Jonny) and Daleonne Smith; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy (Carol) Smith and Bruce Smith; mother-in-law, Rutha Mae Jones; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Warren officiating. Interment will be in Patterson-Hart Cemetery.
