Malloye Jones

Malloye Jones, 79, a resident of Pine, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Feb. 8, 2017.

He was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church and a former supervisor with Kaiser Aluminum. Malloye loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors, especially rabbit hunting. He was a devoted family man and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

He was survived by his wife of 57 years, Lynelle Turnage Jones of Pine; three sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Gwen Jones, Bryan and Kristie Jones, and Michael and Michelle Jones, all of Pine; 10 grandchildren, Camela Jones, Michael Jones, Justin Jones, Auston Jones, Kelsi Jones, Kamryn Jones, Brody Jones, Gloria Tusa, Shelen Baughman and Marlina Keele; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Jones and Elouise Jones, both of Thomas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hazel Jones, Jean Jones, Diane and Lester Dykes, and Billie and Truett “Tap” Roberts; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Peggy Turnage; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Jones and Gertrude Crain Jones; brothers, Eldridge, Hunter, Elvin, Kenneth and Aubrey Jones; and sisters, Margie Magee, Clearmethia Magee, Doris Magee, Joyce McDonald, Eloise Lee and Paulette Phelps.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at New Beginning Baptist Church in Thomas on Saturday, Feb. 11, with the Rev. Keith Branch officiating. Visitation at the church will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to New Beginning Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
