John Underwood, 90, World War II veteran and resident of Bogalusa his whole life, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Millie Ledoux Underwood, of 69 years; five children, Vicki Underwood Bennett (Joe), Dickie Underwood Jr., Tommy Underwood (Debbie), Steve Underwood (Karen) and Donna Underwood Jarrett (Dave); eight grandchildren, Matt Bennett, Casey Underwood LeMaster, Brandi Underwood, Shellie Underwood Mueller, Tyler Underwood, Beau Jarrett, Abby Jarrett Orlosky, and Brooke Jarrett; and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Ponemah Cemetery on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Lassley officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 24.
