Houston Roy “Doy” Cotton, born Aug. 28, 1947, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2017, at the age of 69. He was a native of Bogalusa and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves behind his wife, Debra Gerald Cotton of Bogalusa; three sons, Matthew Todd Cotton, Nicholas Scott Cotton and Christopher Shaun Cotton, all of Bogalusa; two brothers, Mike (Connie) Cotton and Ronald Lewis Cotton, also of Bogalusa; along with nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
He his preceded in death by parents, Houston Perry and Jesse Smith Cotton; two brothers, Richard Dale Cotton and Donald Ray Cotton; and two sisters, Meveline Rae Thomas and Sheila Ann Cotton Wheat.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and resumed after 8 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. Bro. Larry Lassley conducted the services, and the interment followed in the Ponemah Cemetery.
