Riverside Medical Center (RMC) is announcing its third annual “Chili Cook-off” event, set to take place Friday, Feb. 10, from noon to 2 p.m., at Riverside Medical Center. All the proceeds of this event will go to support the American Heart Association, and its mission to build healthier lives, free from cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Even though this event is only in its third year it is continuing to grow. However, the hospital does continue to need public support. There is a $10 charge to enter a crock pot of chili, and RMC is asking the community to come out the day of the event and support the American Heart Association by purchasing chili for lunch, at a $5 a bowl cost.

Also being held at this event will be the hospital’s annual Valentine’s basket raffle. These baskets will be filled with the perfect gift for your valentine.

“I am very excited about this upcoming event, and we already have some great competitors, who are throwing down the gauntlet, so to speak,” said Britney Bell, community outreach director for RMC.
