Verrian Robinson

Verrian Morris Robinson, entered eternal rest on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at her residence.

She was born to the late John and Theresa Morris on Oct. 27, 1951, in Bogalusa. She was the third of 13 children. She confessed Christ as her savior at an early age at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Paul Exkano concurrently with Rev. Dr. Raymond. E. Mims, Sr., current pastor. She attended Wesley Ray High School in Varnado.

Verrian was preceded in death by her father, John Morris Sr., and her mother, Theresa Morris, a brother, John Morris Jr.; a sister, Augustine Morris; and a grandmother, Nancy Brown Chatmon.

Verrian leaves behind to cherish her memories: a son, Marcus Keith (Melisa) Morris, and one granddaughter, Markethia Morris, both of Bogalusa; seven sisters, Linda Bickham Bullock, Bettye Jean Brown, Annice (Carnell Grubbs) Morris, Joyce (Isaac Obeng) Morris, Shelley Fields, Cynthia Lundie and Cindy Morris, all of Bogalusa; three brothers, Wilbur “Spade” (Sheila) Morris, James (Dawn) Morris, and Royce (Catherine) Morris, all of Bogalusa; and special friends, Ms. Ella Greely, Ms. Ruby Manning and Ms. Shannon Burns, who loved her dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Eulogist will be the Rev. Dr. Raymond E. Mims Sr. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery.
