Audry Stafford

Audry Faye Pittman Stafford, 88, a resident of Franklinton, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 1, 2017, at Riverside Medical Center.

She worked alongside her husband in their medical office for many years and was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Audry attended Sunday School at Hillcrest and was very involved, along with her many friends, in the church kitchen ministry. She was a member of the Winterset Club and a former member of the Franklinton Garden Club. Audry loved gardening and tending to her yard and flowers. She was a true servant at heart to her family, friends, neighbors and church family.

She is survived by: four sons and daughters-in-law, John E. Stafford Jr. and Suzy Stafford of Tyler, Texas, Bob and Carla Stafford of Folsom, Steve and Cindy Stafford of Enon, and Alan and Pam Stafford of Franklinton; eight grandchildren and spouses, Kimberly and Brandon Kennedy, Russell and Kelly Stafford, Greg and Megan Stafford, Haylie and Chris Dufour, Barry and Jennifer Stafford, Elliot and Toby Coates, Will and Claire Stafford, Erin and Jonathan Allen; great-grandchildren and spouses, Zoey Kennedy, Stafford “Ford” Kennedy, Candice and Woodrow Scott, Casey Muller, Jack Stafford, Eva Marie Stafford, Stephen Stafford, Jacob Stafford, Cody and Hannah Dufour, Adam Stafford, Rush Azlin, Aubry Azlin, Christopher Dufour, Liam Stafford, Samuel Allen and expected great-grandchildren, Selah Stafford and Audry Allen; great-great-grandchildren, Kadence, Kaelynn and Kyndall Scott; sister-in-law, Billie Stafford of Franklinton; a special friend, Nellie Mae Lundy; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Stafford Sr.; two infant sons; her parents, N.W. Pittman Sr. and Elulia Mizell Pittman; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and O.E. Ballard; three brothers and sisters-in-law, N.W. Pittman Jr. and Mildred Pittman, Lavon and Willie Pearl Pittman, Larry and Sherly Pittman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law H.A. Stafford Jr. and Olive Stafford.

Visitation will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Dr. Gene Richards and Rev. Tom Descant officiating. Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Will Stafford, Barry Stafford, Toby Coates, Chris Dufour, Greg Stafford and Russell Stafford. Honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of the Hillcrest Church Kitchen.
