LaFlorn Martin Taylor, a teacher with the Bogalusa School System, departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at her residence in Bogalusa, LA at the age of 46.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Roderick A Taylor of Bogalusa, LA; two sons, Benderick Martin of Houston, Texas and Roderick Taylor, III of Bogalusa, LA; two step daughters, Ashtin (Cullin) Ellis of Dallas, Texas and Keagan Taylor of Baton Rouge, LA; one sister, Sheila (Michael) Grant of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers, Richard (Christina) Jefferson of Pearland, TX and Cleotha (Erika) Martin of Covington, LA; three grandchildren, Christian Martin of Bogalusa, Ta’Liyah Martin and Tayden Benne both of Houston, Texas; mother-in-law, Kollette (Royan) Morris, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA; father-in-law, Jerome Taylor of Bogalusa, LA; grandmother, Willene Weary of Angie, LA; God daughter, Alicia Bickham of Gulfport, MS; brother-in-law, Tracey (Renae) Bell of NC; sisters-in-law, Dawn (Byron) Adams of Atlanta, GA, Nyoki Alexander of Bogalusa, LA and Amy Jackson of Detroit, MI; best friend whom was like a sister, Phlesher Mingo of Bogalusa, LA; special friends, Milton Gholar of Bogalusa, LA and Broderick Dillon of Denver, CO; Bogalusa High School Students and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Cleotha Martin, Sr.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at the Bogalusa High School Auditorium from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 p.m. at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie, LA; Rev. Terrence August, Pastor and Rev. Sydney Burns, Officiating. The interment will held in Dillon Cemetery, Angie, LA.
