Varnado’s Wildcats had a memorable game last Friday for themselves and for their fans.

If there ever was a stat for a perfect game or something close to it in football, this might’ve been the one.

The Wildcats did not allow a point, forced seven turnovers and returned two interceptions for touchdowns.
About the only thing they didn’t do was score on two drives to begin the game, but once things got going in the right direction for Varnado, they never stopped.

Tonight, the seventh-seeded Wildcats are headed to Logansport to face the second-ranked Tigers.

The winner is just one win away from competing for a chance to play for the Class 1A state title.

If you’re going to the game, please be safe on the long trip there and back.
