Sheila McLaurin Harris born Aug. 6, 1947, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 14, 2016.

She was born in Bay Springs, Miss., and a long time resident of Bogalusa. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and loved her family.

She leaves behind four sons, Trent McLaurin of White Sands, Miss., Eddie Harris and his wife Tammy of Bogalusa, Robert Wayne Harris and James Harris, both of Bogalusa; one daughter, Tracey Harris of South Carolina and also grandson Robert Lance Harris; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned and Rosalie Sims McLaurin; her husband, Robert H. Harris; a daughter, Stacey Harris; and a great-grandson, Brayden Harris.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
