Esther Mae Stewart

Esther Mae Stewart, 91, passed away Nov. 11, 2016, at her residence in Foxworth, Miss. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bogalusa.
She is survived by four sons, John Paul Stewart of Foxworth, Thomas Edward Stewart of Washington Parish, William Rusty Stewart of Gloster, Miss., and Wilbert E. Stewart of Foxworth; stepsons, Samuel Toby Stewart of Washington Parish, Charles Leslie Stewart of Washington Parish, Archie Stewart of Washington Parish, and Bobby Stewart of Washington Parish; one daughter, Ruth Mattingly of Arkansas; one step-daughter, Treasure Stewart of Montana; sisters, Judy Foster of Lake Charles, Gracie Mask of Tennessee, and Sylvia Lambert, Wilda Phillips and Nellie Rose Ladet of Washington Parish; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Truett Stewart; a son, Sam Jackson; parents, Edgar and Idonia McNeese Hunt; brother, Quincy Hunt; and sisters, Mavis Whittington, Eloise Russell and Avis Lideratore.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 13, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, Nov. 14, at Emmanuel Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Pete Underwood will officiate.
