William J. Roberts Jr., born Feb. 1, 1923, passed away Nov. 6, 2016, at the Resthaven Living Center at the age of 93. He retired from the Gaylord Box Plant with many years of service and loved life and his family and loved to travel.

He leaves behind two sons, Carl Bruce Roberts of Bogalusa and Kenneth David Roberts of Waynesboro, Miss.; a daughter, Sandra Brumfield and her husband Eddie of Bogalusa; four grandchildren, Mandy Roberts, Ross Roberts, Alex Roberts (Jason) and Harleigh Roberts; one great-grandchild, Easton Mann; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Duncan Roberts; a son, Harley Eugene Roberts; two brothers, Stanley Ullysees Roberts and James Oliver Roberts; a sister, Mary Helen Guidroz; and a sister-in-law, Ginger Burge Roberts.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will resume Thursday morning, Nov. 10, after 8 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Pastor Travis Houston will officiate the services, and the interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
