Phyllis Pierce Starks, born July 11, 1946, passed away at Ochsner Hospital on Oct. 29, 2016, at the age of 70. She was a resident of Angie.

She is survived by her son, Gordon Trent Starks and his wife Rose of Angie; a sister,

Patricia Wilson of Varnado; a niece, Donna Simon and her husband Joey; and a great-niece, LeeAnn Prisk.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Dorothy Pierce; her husband, Donald Gordon Starks; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Wilson.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Elder Duane Ball officiated the services and the interment followed in the Seal Cemetery in Varnado.
