On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary in progress on James Creel Road.
A witness reported seeing a black Nissan Maxima or Altima with lots of chrome backed up to the front of the residence. All four doors of the vehicle were open. The witness retreated and called the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded, but the vehicle was gone when they arrived.
Further investigation revealed that the same vehicle had been captured on video at another location where jewelry, firearms and a television set were stolen. Video showed the vehicle turn west bound on Lawrence Creek Road and then possibly turn north bound on Woodrow Magee Road.
Sheriff Randy Seal asks anyone who might have information about this vehicle or its occupants to call the Sheriff’s Office detective division at 985-661-2021, extension 2059.
“We want to identify these cowardly thieves so we can arrest them,” sheriff Seal said. “If you have any information at all, please talk to one of our detectives and tell us what you know or suspect.”
