Many public offices and services will be closed this week due to the Washington Parish Free Fair, which runs today through the weekend.

However, not everything will take a break. Garbage pickup will not stop throughout the parish and Bogalusa city government and the post office will also remain open for most of the week.

However, the city of Bogalusa will be shuttered all day Friday and the parish government will be closed from Wednesday through Friday.

The landfill will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the workweek, though it will be closed Saturday.

In Franklinton, the city offices will be closed all day Wednesday, but they will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday and Friday.
