Donald Crain, 77, born on Oct. 23, 1938, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at his home in Bogalusa. He worked for Gaylord Container for 40 years.

He is survived by his children, Gary Crain and wife Shan, and Michael Crain and wife Kelly; his grandchildren, Courtney Kopelman (Chris), Colton Crain (Megan), Megan and Morgan Crain, Katelyn Cockrell, Sheldon Milner, Devin Milner and Tyler Milner; his great-grandchildren, Elijah Copeland, Mia Claire Kopelman and Aiden Crain; two sisters, Evelyn Brumfield and Glynn Coles; and his brother, Bobby Crain.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Overstreet Crain; and his parents, Earl and Vernice Crain.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Oct. 17, from 9 am until 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Clay Norwood officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
