Aron Dexter Hemphill, 50, a resident of Bogalusa, born on Sept. 23, 1966, in Covington, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Pat Hemphill Benson and Phil Benson of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Gwendolyn Tammy Caves (Chris) of Bogalusa; two nephews, Matthew Hemphill and Noah Hemphill; and a niece, Arianna Enman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael D. Hemphill.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., with the Rev. John Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
