Mrs. Bobbie Jean Garrett, 85, of Folsom, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday afternoon, Aug. 26, 2016.

She was born to the late Gene Brown and Rhoda Anthony, on Nov. 26, 1930, in Folsom.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Sidney W. and Charles Garrett of Folsom; one brother, Edward Brown of Folsom; two sisters, Eula Mae Garrett of Clayton, Ohio, and Laura Bell Garrett of Folsom; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney W. Garrett; and two sons, Mervin E. Garrett and James B. Garrett.

A visitation is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 3, from 9 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at Holmville Baptist Church in Folsom. Funeral services immediately follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Calvin Jackson officiating.
