Randolph “Randy” Humphries Sr. passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016.

He was 75, a native of Pineville, and a resident of Franklinton. Randy was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and retired from Avondale Shipyard after 45 years of service.

Beloved husband of the late Alma Lynn Baudin Humphries. The father of Randolph Humphries Jr. (Reba), Pamela Dykes (Melvin), Melissa Davis (Shawn), Michelle Coste (Ricky) and the late Janet L. Humphries. The grandfather of Stephanie A. (Joel), Daphne L. (Josh) and Lee M. (Kirsty), Ashley M. Lee, Lauren N. (Andre) and Rachel A. (Brad Sr.), Rebecca S., Janet L. and Dorothy, Chance, George (Bethany) and Monique (Brandon Sr.) Ruby and Jason C. and the late Samantha L. Davis. Great-grandfather of Kamden, Brad Jr., Branden, Shawn, Wyeth, Payton, Brandon Jr., Cameron and Leah. Son of the late Daphne Bonds Humphries and Evans Brown Humphries. Brother of Gertrude, Russell, Kenneth, Helen, Donna, Roger, Gene and the late Margaret Roberts, Vernon Humphries and Evans Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. Service at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 315 Ridgelake Drive, Metairie, on Monday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m. Visitation at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. in Killian Chapel Cemetery in Montpelier.
