Walker B. “Rusty” Smith, age 60, born on January 9, 1956 in Bogalusa, La, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home in Bogalusa, La.

Rusty was a well-known brick layer in the construction business for 38 years.

He is survived by one son, Walker B. “Bucky” Smith, IV (Amy) of Bogalusa, LA; three daughters, Brooke Beam (Jeremy) and Elizabeth Burden (Daniel) of Andalusia, AL and Taylor Smith of Bogalusa, LA; two sisters, Carla Robinett (Jim) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Missy Seal (Timmy) of Varnado, LA; two brothers, Jeffery Smith of Mandeville, LA and Tony Leslie (Brandy) of Sumrall, MS; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walker B. “Buddy” Smith, Jr. and Shirley Nell Penton Smith; and a sister, Christy Lynn Barber.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Memorial Services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Eric Williams and Rev. Kelly Penton officiating.
