Edward J. Pierce Sr. 60, born in Bogalusa, on Jan. 13, 1956, passed away on Aug. 14, 2016, at his residence in Angie.

He was a U.S. veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Julie Pierce and Penny Pierce Wilbanks (John Ashley); a son, Edward J. Pierce II (Nathalie); two sisters, Pauline Pierce and Paulette Lawlers (Mike); a brother, Paul Pierce Jr.; and six grandchildren, Tiarra Pierce, Destiny Ard, Elijah Pierce, Savanna, Cheyenne and Chance.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Pierce and Hazel Thomas Pierce.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 19, from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Ray Creel officiating. Interment will follow at Old Pierce Cemetery in Angie.
