Louie Stogner

Louie John Stogner, 95, resident of Bogalusa, passed away on July 19, 2016, at Resthaven Living Center.

Mr. Louie was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, having served in Italy.

He is survived by his daughters, Billie Jo (John) Spencer of Bogalusa, Cheryl Lynn (Chuck) Vierck of Young Harris, Ga., and Pamela Louise (David) Entrevia of Boglausa; granddaughters, Lisa (Foster) Trecost of Mandeville and Carly Entrevia of Bogalusa; and his sister, Willie Nell McBeth of Tylertown, Miss.

Louie is preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Ard Stogner; his parents, Albert and Lettie Pittman Stogner; and his brothers, Wallace Stogner and Ralph Stogner.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate with interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.

Military graveside rites will be handled by the American Legion Post #24. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monroe Street Baptist Church, 1412 Monroe St., Bogalusa, LA 70427.

Pallbearers will be John Spencer, Foster Trecost, Ricky McNabb, Caleb Jenkins, Odie Hughes and Bill Langston.
