Mrs. Josie “Jo Warren” Mizell, a resident of Franklinton, passed away on June 25, 2016, at the age of 81.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Arlin Mizell; two sons, Jeffrey Brian (Julie) Mizell and Kevin Boyce Mizell Sr.; two sisters, Mildred O’Quinn and Lavell Wilkins; six grandchildren, Tommy (Ana) Mizell, Elisabeth Grace Mizell, Kevin Mizell Jr., Kelsey Mizell, Katie Mizell and Jasmine Oliver; and one great-grandchild, Emmie Mae “Mae Mae” Mizell.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Wheat and Evy Josephine Hines Wheat; and two brothers, Murphy Wheat and Jewel Wheat.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 27, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service was held Tuesday June 28, 2016, beginning at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Dr. Stan Statham and Rev. Patrick Magee officiated.

Interment was held at Mizell Cemetery in Isabel.
